Tetsuya Umeda's New Tour-Style Play "Kudo" (Cavity) to be Performed at Za-Koenji

Za-Koenji, a public arts facility in Suginami Ward, Tokyo, has announced it will stage "Kudo" (Cavity), a new tour-style theatrical work by artist Tetsuya Umeda, as its 2026 season feature. The performances will run from April 29 to May 17.
Umeda is known for his work involving installations that utilize everyday objects and physical phenomena, alongside performances centered on the relationship between sound and space. Since his 2014 work "O-sai," he has specialized in tour-style performances that guide audiences through spaces. His recent notable projects include the tour-performance exhibition "wait this is my favorite part" at the Watari Museum of Contemporary Art (2023-24) and his collaboration with Ha-Jea Oh, titled "Wetland," at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (2025-26).
