The 42nd "FUKUI Small Hall Art Exhibition," featuring paintings created on canvases the size of two postcards, has opened, showcasing numerous original works submitted from within and outside the prefecture. A total of 356 creative submissions were received. An awards ceremony was held on the 20th, where 15 works, including the Grand Prize and Runner-up prizes, were honored. The Grand Prize was awarded to Takumi Nagasawa, a university student from Ishikawa Prefecture, for his work titled "Furete Shimau" (Touching It), which depicts a hand reaching out into a vast landscape with delicate brushwork creating a transparent atmosphere. The exhibition is being held at the Kanazu Forest of Creation in Awara City until April 5th.
