Gallery Koyanagi will host the solo exhibition "LISTENING" by Christian Marclay from April 4 to June 30, 2026. Marclay, born in California in 1955, began his career using records and turntables as instruments and now works across various media including video, photography, sculpture, and painting, exploring the connection between hearing and seeing. This exhibition, his fourth solo show with the gallery since 1996, will feature new collage series: 〈Concentric Listening〉 and 〈Eccentric Listening〉, alongside new works from his iconic record jacket series, 〈Oculi〉. These collages center on the act of listening, sampling and reassembling fragments of pop culture to evoke the viewer's imagination and explore the blurring boundaries between sound and image. A reception with the artist will be held on the opening day, April 4th.
