ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO 2026 is an artist-led art fair set in Kyoto, established in 2018, where selected young artists, chosen through recommendations and applications, handle the planning, exhibiting, and sales themselves, transcending the framework of conventional art fairs. A key feature is the opportunity for visitors to directly interact with artists while viewing and purchasing works, often set within unique venues like historically significant cultural properties or prominent temples not usually open to the public.
The event schedule includes exhibitions by the advisory board, satellite exhibitions featuring past participating artists, an art award recognizing emerging talent, and various talk programs. The main venue is the Kyoto National Museum Meiji Koto Hall (February 21–23, 2026), and the AFK Resonance Exhibition venue is Tofuku-ji Temple (February 21–March 1, 2026).
