A talk event is being held as part of the "MMM x artscape Museum Goods Fair vol.2" at Maison des Musées du Monde (MMM) in Ginza, Tokyo. The event aims to unravel the mystery of museum goods from the perspective of design and its history. Speakers include Natsumi Osawa, a museum goods enthusiast who curated the selection for the fair, and Sakura Nomiyama, a design historian and researcher who is also a director of the "Takenobu Igarashi Archive" and an editorial committee member for artscape's 30th anniversary. Nomiyama will explore how museum goods, which often represent fleeting encounters, can be positioned within design history. Additionally, there will be a consultation corner to seriously discuss how Osawa's collection of approximately 3,000 museum goods, collected from museums nationwide, should be digitized and archived for the future. The free event is scheduled for February 17, 2026.
