The Showa Ward Residents' Art Exhibition for Reiwa 7 was Held
Summary
The Reiwa 7 Showa Ward Residents' Art Exhibition was held, showcasing 69 works from residents, workers, and students (high school age and above) in the Showa Ward across five categories: Japanese painting, Western painting, sculpture/crafts, calligraphy, and photography. Approximately 350 people viewed the exhibition over four days. An awards ceremony was held on the final day, recognizing winners such as Cai Wen (Ward Mayor's Prize in Japanese Painting) and Hisano Yoshiyoshi (Mayor's Prize in Western Painting). Works that received top prizes (Mayor's Prize and Ward Mayor's Prize) in this exhibition will be submitted to the Nagoya Citizens' Art Exhibition, held from November 25th to 30th. Furthermore, top Japanese painting entries will be exhibited at the "Rikuzentakata City Residents' Art Festival" in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, which has a friendship city agreement with Nagoya City.
