The art information site "artscape," which began in 1995 supporting museums' information dissemination, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, a special talk event titled "1995 ⇄ 2025 ⇄ 2055 ── Considering 60 Years of the Art Scene and Art Media" will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the DNP Ginza Building. The event will feature Futoshi Hoshino (Aesthetics/Cultural Studies, artscape Special Editorial Committee member) and Tsukasa Mori (Arts Council Tokyo, former early artscape staff). They will discuss the evolution of artscape, which has provided reviews, terminology (like "Artwords®"), and information across various genres, contributing to digital archiving and earning the Digital Archive Society Award in 2025. The discussion will examine the shift in the art scene from 1995 to 2025—from museums to art festivals and regional projects—and project forward to the art scene and art media in 2055.
