Summary
Hita City will host the public exhibition of city-owned artworks, "Everyone's Teppei Ujiyama Exhibition ~Sunlight and Joy~," featuring the abstract painter Teppei Ujiyama, a native of Hita. The exhibition will run from February 14 to March 23, Reiwa 8 (2026), at the Aoze Hita City Complex Cultural Facility. Approximately 40 works from the city's collection will be displayed, offering a chance to experience the texture and appeal of Ujiyama's art. Notably, two valuable works owned by Oita Prefectural Hita High School, titled 'Sunlight' ('晴') and 'Joy' ('歓'), will be specially exhibited. An interactive art corner, "Let's Play with Circles, Triangles, and Squares," is also set up for visitors of all ages. Admission is free, and the museum is closed on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a public holiday).
