Limited Andy Warhol UT appears at four Uniqlo stores in Shinjuku. Six types released to coincide with SHINJUKU ART WEEK.
Summary
Uniqlo is releasing a limited UTme! collection featuring six T-shirt designs inspired by Andy Warhol's artwork and phrases. The collection will be available starting August 5 at four Shinjuku locations: the Uniqlo Shinjuku Main Store, Shinjuku Sanchome Store, Shinjuku Takashimaya Store, and Shinjuku Southeastern Exit Flags Store. This release coincides with the SHINJUKU ART WEEK (August 5–18) organized by Isetan Shinjuku. Designs include a photo T-shirt pairing a Polaroid self-portrait with the phrase 'Pop art is for everyone', heart motifs titled 'Four Hearts' and 'Red Heart', a rhythmic text design 'Art', a flower motif based on Warhol's 1950s commercial illustration technique called 'blotting line', and a design that graphically composes the phrase 'All is pretty' replacing the letter 'i' in 'is' with a flower. Each shirt is priced at 1,990 yen (tax included) and offered in sizes S through XL. Copyright notices credit The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Inc.
