The 38th curated exhibition, "47 People of NIPPON 2026 CULTURAL STAY: Innkeepers Creating Cultural Bases for 47 Prefectures," will be held at d47 MUSEUM in Shibuya from September 18 to November 29, 2026. Themed "Inn," the exhibition explores how traditional accommodations are evolving from mere lodging into "activity hubs" for cultural experience, learning, and exchange. This shift is driven by diverse travel forms like deep regional discovery, workations, micro-tourism, and regenerative tourism. The exhibit introduces one "innkeeper" (owner, landlady, manager, or notable staff) from each of Japan's 47 prefectures, showcasing their unique philosophies, place-based lodging experiences, and editorial skill in highlighting regional charm.
