Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, this exhibition features approximately 200 masterpieces from the British Museum's extensive collection, including folding screens, hanging scrolls, and ukiyo-e prints from the Edo period. Notable works include pieces by Katsushika Hokusai, Kitagawa Utamaro, and Maruyama Ōkyo, as well as a rare reunion of Kano school fusuma-e paintings that have been dispersed globally for 150 years.
The exhibition will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum from July 25 to October 18, 2026. The application deadline is August 17.
